Hola! I'm Rocío, a passionate educator & creative enthusiast from Madrid based in NYC. My mission is to guide you towards becoming a confident Spanish speaker with remarkable real-time results, all while having an absolute blast.
Let me tell you all about the exciting Spanish classes I offer!
My approach is completely personalized and tailored to your individual needs and goals. I teach from beginner levels (A1-A2) all the way up to advanced levels (C1-C2), following the prestigious Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This means that whether you're an absolute beginner or an advanced speaker, I'm here to help you achieve your objectives.
Courses range from completely personalized one-on-one sessions to focused small groups (with a maximum of six students). We meet on Zoom each week. Each course cycle is 10 sessions, with an average class length of 2 hours. Timings range morning through early evening ET.
My materials are diverse and always up to date. I use resources like the "Campus Difusión" platform, the "Aula Internacional" books (in their revised and updated version), graded readings with audio versions from Anaya publishing, and, most importantly, I develop specific content with games and exercises on current topics and your personal interests.
So, who should join these classes? Basically, everyone! Whether you're starting from scratch, planning a move, looking to practice and maintain your skills, or simply eager to explore the Spanish-speaking world, my classes are designed for you.
My goal is that our lessons become the most exciting part of your week! Did I just say that? Olé! :)

More about me
Originally from Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, the birthplace of Miguel de Cervantes, the esteemed author of Don Quixote, and a historic hub of academia where the very first Spanish grammar book took form. My journey led me to New York City in 2006, a move that, in my parents' eyes, felt as monumental as relocating to another planet.
My teaching journey began two decades ago after I graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Madrid. Over the years, I've had the privilege of instructing at the University of Barcelona, serving as a guest lecturer at the University of Alcalá de Henares since 2008, and teaching Spanish at Instituto Cervantes New York since 2011.
Beyond education, I harbor a deep passion for art, cuisine, and fashion. I design my own clothes and host culinary events on Zoom from my charming space in the heart of the Upper East Side.
Muchísimas gracias,
I can't wait to meet you!
